The Sexual Health Prevention Team in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire are doing a condom roadshow in February to celebrate Condom Week, which runs from 14-21 February.

As well as offering condoms at drop-ins in clubs, universities and community groups and universities around the region, the team are also doing a condom roadshow at local colleges. The roadshow offers different stations, including one demonstrating how to put a condom on correctly and one showing how oil can erode the latex in condoms.

Andrew Horton, HIV Prevention Lead, said: “We want to remind people how great condoms are. They’re the only contraception method that protects against STIs and they’re free via our C-Card scheme and easy to get hold of. Our condom roadshow aims to educate people on condom use, but keep things fun too because at the end of the day sex and sexual health is a fun topic!”

For free condoms, visit your nearest sexual health clinic or ask the a member of the Sexual Health Team when you see them out and about.
